Women's Day (Konudagur) is the first day of the old month of Góa, the Sunday between 18 and 24 February. Husbands and partners treat the women in their lives, traditionally with flowers or breakfast in bed - it is the biggest flower-selling day of the Icelandic year. The tradition is rooted in the Old Norse calendar and is the counterpart of Husband's Day.
